In addition to all of the other evidence that we’ve been presenting lately regarding how working with a staffing firm can help you find an employment opportunity and grow your career, we have more!
That’s because there are benefits of working with a staffing firm that you might not have even considered. That’s okay, though. We won’t hold it against you. However, we would like you stick around to hear about these benefits. Below are five hidden benefits of working with a staffing firm: #1—Find out what does and what doesn’t make you employable. Staffing firms have what are called qualified staffing specialists. These professionals can assist you during the application process. They can provide tips and advice on your resume, your presentation, your interviewing skills, and anything else that could make the difference between getting the job and not getting it. This is always great information, regardless of your individual situation. It can help you not only now, but also in the future. #2—Find out what you like and what you don’t like. People often think they know what they’re going to like. Then they get into it, and they realize that they were wrong. Or at the very least, they weren’t 100% right. The majority of people need at least a little “trial and error” before they determine what exactly they want to do with their employment situation and their career. Working with a staffing agency is a great way to accelerate the learning curve and bring the future into focus more quickly. #3—Fill gaps in your employment. Nobody likes gaps on their resume. If you’ve been without a job for longer than you’re comfortable, then working with a staffing agency can help to fill that gap. For a lot of people, this is absolutely a viable option. After all, they can continue looking for other employment opportunities while they work for the staffing agency in the position they were placed. #4—It’s a good option for recent college graduates. It’s true that not all jobs offered through a staffing agency are entry-level positions. However, it’s also true that not all jobs offered through a staffing agency are not entry-level positions. What the heck does that mean? A couple of things. First, just because you’re a college graduate, that doesn’t mean you’re “locked in” to an entry-level position. Second, college graduates want to avoid gaps on their resume just like everybody else. (Refer to #3.) #5—There are plenty of networking opportunities. We’ve mentioned this one before, but it bears repeating. That’s because people vastly underestimate the value associated with networking. Every time you work somewhere new, you meet people you’ve never met before. When you meet people you’ve never met before, you increase the chances that you’ll learn something new. But it’s not just what these people know; it’s also who they know. They might turn out to be the person who introduces you to your next great employment opportunity. And the only reason you know them is because you worked with a staffing agency. So there you have it: five more hidden benefits of working with a staffing agency. Clearly, there is value attached to working with one, and Time Staffing would like to show you what that value is and what benefits you could reap. Comments are closed.
